Adolf Antoine Leonard Mercken 1924-1933.
24 x 49,5 x 18 cm.

Oak, Art Nouveau, made by my father, Adolf (Dolf from Naadje from Lenske from Naadje) Antoine Léonard Mercken (Bilzen 1905 – Hasselt 1996, Belgian Limburg), a professional carpenter-cabinetmaker. Part of a set of bedroom furniture, including a French bed, a wardrobe with mirrors, a washstand with mirror as well, and a pair of chairs, all in the same style. Produced at Hasselt during the time of his engagement with Anny (Anneke of the Post Office) Jeurissen (1905-1987).
